The I. O. O. F. building was destroy ed by the early Sunday morning, sup posedly at the hands of an incendiary, as there had been two previous at tempts at its destruction. The fire was discovered at about 4 o’clock, but was too far advanced and it was im possible to extinguish it. The build ing was occupied by the post office, Aible’s store and township office on the first floor, and the Odd Fellows’ lodge room on the second floor. The loss was partially covered by insurance. Dr. C. A. Tribbett is slowly recover ing from his late illness, and was able to walk a short distance down street on Saturday. Mrs. Frank West and children have returned from Knoxville, Tenn., where they have been for about two months. James B. Clark and wife and John B. Hammer have returned from a two weeks’ visit with Indiana relatives. Dr. and Mrs. A. F. Deniston have received invitations to the wedding of Miss Pearl Hutchens, of Springfield. Miss Hutchens has many friends here who join in best wishes for her future happiness.
