Rev, Wellemcyer ofiici-a ted, his remarks being based upon Job, 19-25-27. The sermon was delivered in the German language, but at the close the main points were repeated in English. Then the coffin was opened, and the large congregation filed through the church taking a last look at the face of the dead. The features maintained a composediappearance, seemingly in quiet sleep, and it was difficult to realize tha. friend Loew, who has so long been active in every good work in the town ’was gone. The funeral procession, numbering over sixty carriages slowly proceeded to the cemetery where the body was consigned to the earth, and the stricken friends returned to their homes.
