Letters To The EditorGambies MillI am sure that I speak tor the majority of UR students who do not live on campus when I protest tho suggested closing of Gambles Mill Hoad. I realize the closing of the rofl'.l is suggested only as a last resort;, however, as bud as the road is I must maintain that closing it Is no solution. Tho other entrances to tho campus are, it) my opinion, no bettor In terms of visibility and safety, fo ontor campus one mustnegotiate tho hairpin turns on the Wosthampton campus near the Greek Theater, follow the twisting, cracking road that loads to tho Gwathiney Building (old VISR), or drive the obstacle course called Boatwright Drive. Accidents on Gambles Mill probably occur more frequently because tho road is used mom frequently Those of us coming from South side studen in and professors alike would find It Inconvenient to use other entrances (leaving campus between 4:30 and6:00 P.M. is nearly Impossible except through Garnlilob Mill Ruud, town students have few ad vantages at present, the University owns us an Improved Gambles Mill Road.Donna riedemann
