in an afternoon ceremony at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Cherokee on Oct. 13 Miss Rhonda Grayson and C. James Saxon were united in marriage with Dr. V.V. Schuldt officiating. Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Merle Grayson of Larrabee and parents, of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Saxon of Quimby. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an empire waisted gown of polyester crepe with a high neckline and lego mutton sleeves. The chapel train, attached to the dress, and the skirt hemline were trimmed with a Venetian lace. The double illusion veil was attached to a lace Juliet ‘cap and she carried a nosegay of gold and orange mums. Miss Mabeth Grayson served her sister as maid of honor and Mrs. Douglas Driggs as bridesmaid. ‘The attendants were attired in gold and orange floor length Kowns, respectively, of polyester knit with short puffed sleeves and hemline accented with lace. They wore matching fabric bow headpieces and each carried a single mum. Francis Heid served as best man and Ronald Harrison was groomsman. Ushering the guests were Steve Grayson, brother of the bride, and Roger Hackett. Mrs. Daryl Anderson played nuptial music at the organ. A reception was held in the church fellowship hall following the ceremony. The bride is a graduate of Washington High School in 1968 and is presently employed by the Credit Bureau of Cherokee. The groom is a graduate of Willow Community High School in 1965 and is employed as a ‘Salesman at Bower's Ford Motor, Inc. in Cherokee.
