= GUY THEIR “JAZZ” BY PHONE. Chicago WA. Fraternity Outwitted Deans at Halloween Party. Cuiucaco, Oct. 29.—Vigilant deans at the university have been outwitted by science. The deans are not strong for the suggestive jazz music, the whining saxophones and the sobbing violins and that sort of thing, but the Phi Kappa Sigma fraternity had that sort of music at its Halloween party tonight and the deans are not yet quite certain how the trick was turned. A member of the fraternity, who is also a wizard in electricity, installed a special apparatus connected with an or chestra many blocks distant. Amplifiers were installed at the source and around the walls of the dance hall and the mu sic came through without the toss of a note.
