Terre Haute Mail. Sam McDonald for several days has been enjoying what he calls a jollification, and has been having matters about to his own nation. Evening before last, as his secretary, Wm. Brown, was sitting in a Wall-street establish ment, he was approached by McDonald, who, without a word of warning or particle of provocation, stepped up and kicked him with great force in the side, knocking him over, from the effects of which he suffered all day yesterday. Not content with this cowardly assault, McDonald went around to a Sixth-street saloon, and there raised a rumpus, and threatened to whip a police officer, who, by the way, was not present. After going to his “Rowdy Hall” on South street, he contrived to amuse himself by knocking one of his servants down, shooting promiscuously with a revolver, and in trying to show off his dexterity with a knife, almost severed a finger from the left hand, necessi tating the calling of Dr. Williams, who dressed the wound.
