Alexander, when promoted to the county judgeship.The county attorney notified all slot machine operators in Caldwell, Somerville and other points in the county to do away with the innocent looking gambling devices.The machines made their appearances in October 1933. Deanville Man Is First In County To Seek Office To Adolph Krupala, of Deanville candidate for county commissioner goes the honor of the first Burleson County Citizen to officially announce for office in the approaching Democratic Primary.Mr. Krupala, who is Constable of Deanville, is seeking to be elected to the Commissioners Court as the representative of Precincts 1 and 7. Buster Brown And Tige Draw Record Crowd Packed to the rafters was the Matsonian Theater on Wednesday afternoon, March 14, when Buster Brown, famed comic figure and his nationally known side partner, Tige, the educated dog, made their appearance as guests of Rosenwaser's Department Store.Buster and Tige thrilled several hundred children.It was their third visit to Caldwell. Hall atDeanville, where thousands of young and old people of Burleson and surrounding counties have enjoyed various kinds of entertainments in recent years, was completely destroyed by fire before midnight on Wednesday, October 3.This was the second time in the last four years that this hall has been destroyed by mysterious flames.Officers and citizens of Deanville are convinced that the fire was deliberately set because a large empty can was found near the building.
