This year’s Christmas parade, to be held Dec. 4, will be known as the Laurel Jaycees-Sertoma Christmas Parade since the Laurel Ser toma Club has agreed to help the Jaycees stage it. Sertoma’s executive board heard the Jaycees’ request for help Wednesday and recom mended that the full club sup port that request. Jaycees representatives told the Ser toma Club Thursday that they needed additional manpower to help with the parade this year, especially in lining up the parade and in crowd con trol. The Sertoma members then voted to help the Jaycees with the parade. Raleigh Carnival RALEIGH — The Raleigh Athletic Booster Club will hold a Halloween Carnival Satur day from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the Smith County Show Barn. The main entertainment at the carnival will be a womanless wedding at 9 p.m. It will feature Raleigh football and basketball players. Other events will include children’s costume contests, a cake walk, bingo, a haunted house, a fishing pond, and various games. Admission will be 50 cents and all proceeds will go to the Raleigh School Athletic Fund. Costume Party Set Parents Without Partners will have a Halloween Costume Party at 8 p.m. Saturday at Witch Norma Welch's house. You are invited to come and wear a costume and bring your own snacks and beverages. For directions call 729-2325. Members will pay $2 and guests will pay $3. Everyone is invited to come.
