FORMER RESIDENT DIED THURSDAYMrs. Laura Martin, 93, of Paullina, died Thursday, Oct. 22, at the Sioux Valley Hospital in Cherokee.A long-time resident of Marathon where she was postmistress for many years, she had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Frances Skinner, in Paullina for a number of years.Funeral services were held Sunday at the Presbyterian Church in Paullina, with interment in the Paullina Cemetery. 1Mrs. Martin is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Skinner, and a son, Frederick Figert, of Washington, D. C.tJ and five grandchildren.Attending the funeral services were Mr. and Mrs. Fred McLaughlin, Mrs. Hilda McLaughlin, Mrs. Howard Bentley and Mrs. Ethel Res-kie. Mr. McLaughlin was a pallbearer.A complete obituary next week.
