aines Pioneer Former LamesaSettler DiesFuneral services were held Wednesday at 3:00 P.M. at the Fairview Baptist Church of Seminole for Mary Della W right, 85.Mrs. Wright and her husband,Bob, who died in i960, werepioneer settlers in Gaines County. The Wrights moved 10 miles east of Seminole from Colorado City in 1905. They were among the first farmers in Gaines C ounty.Reverend P.A. Mitchum, former pastor of the Fairview church officiated at the service, assisted by Reverend Leon Smith, present pastor of the church.Burial was in Seminole Cemetery under direction of Singleton Funeral Home.Survivors include three sons,Ace and Woodrow of Seminole and G.H. of Lubbock; one daughter, Mrs. John Randolph of lamesa; two sisters, Mrs. Frank Wright and Mrs. L. L. Mc-Haney of Seminole; two brothers, L.L. Peters of Lamesa and Will Peters of Odessa; fifteen grandchildren and 25 great -gran children.Pall bearers were Ed Randolph of Lamesa, Allen Bowers of Odessa, George Hogg, Barney Elam, Gene Allen and Eddie Jameson of Seminole.Honorary pallbearers were Dee Coker, R.W'. Pittman, Harry Hughes, Karl Hughes and M. L. Turner.Resi Succu mbsT.H. Tarbet, age 83, died Friday, October 27, in a resthome in Iowa Park, Texas, where he had resided the past threeyears,Tarbet moved to Dawson County in 1915 and farmed southof Lamesa until 1946.Funeral services will beheld in die Ackerly Church of Christ Monday, October 30, at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the Ackerly Cemetery, The body will lie in-state at the Church from 10 a.m. Monday until time for the funeral.Tarbet is survived by his wifeMillie, of Iowa Park; two sons, P,K. of Ackerly and T.H.
