Ashtabula Stores BurnASHTABULA, Ohio (AP)-A fire which broke out early Saturday destroyed a furniture store and a state liquor store and threatened other buildings in downtown Ashtabula. No one was reported injured.Cause of the fire was not determined immediately, but police said it was believed to have started in the Brown Furniture Store which was destroyed, The flames then spread to the adjoining state liquor store.Firemen then turned their attention to trying to save other buildings in the block, including a structure formerly used as a hotel and the Pucro Furniture ‘ Store.. The Conneaut Fire Department assisted the Ashtabula City, Ashtabula County and Ashtabula Township fire departments in battling the blaze.All available city policemen were at the scene. They were assisted by the State Highway Patrol and some policemen from Jefferson.
