The new educational building of the Parkview Baptist Church will be dedicated in special serv ices Sunday. Dr. Ray P. Rust, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Bastrop and presi dent of the executive board of the Louisiana Baptist Conven tion, will deliver the principal address. The dedication service will begin at 4 p.m. Dedication activities begins at 8 p.m. with an open house, fol lowed by the service. The Train ing Union will be at 5:15 p.m. There will be no evening wor ship services. The educational wing, along with a remodeling and enlarge ment of the present building, was completed recently at a cost of $265,000. The brick wing provides educational space for all age groups and a new choir room and music suite. Contractor was W. C. Salley, and Wells and Parker of Mon roe were architects. In addition to Dr. Rust, Mayor w. L. Howard of Monroe, the Rev. H. L. Sampson, pastor of the Ridge Avenue, Baptist Church in West Monroe and for mer pastor of Parkview, and the Rev. Glenn Pippins, pastor of Church, will take part in the ac tivities. The service will feature spe cial music by the Parkview Church’s sanctuary choir, under the direction of John C. Burgin, minister of music.
