Kansas.Jobst Fischer has received word that both oil and gas iu paying quantities have been found on his property iu Llmnholt, Kansas. The following are items taken from the papery of H uiu bolt.(Ht MnOUT HERALD OF OCT. 12th.)I. P. Darning bought iu liiy second oil well wit bin tlie city limits, Friday noon. The well is located on a tract of land in southeast Humbolt. The land is owned by Jobst Fischer, of Allen County, Indiana. The well was shot Saturday at uoou and since then the gas, of which there is a eousidera ble amount, hay been blowing the oil out of the well continnonsly. Fifteen feet of pay sand was struck at a depth of 77K feet.(IIUMBOLT IIEKALD OF OCT. 15.)1). P. Dumbolt lias liad a tank erected to catch the flow of oil from the well on his lease on Jobst Fischer’s lots in southeast Hnmbuit.P. r. Darning has hud his two gas wells in southeast Humbolt tested. Tho well on the Dye tract shows 150 pounds rock pressure aud the Fischer well shows 225 pounds pressure.
