Died—At their residence near the city of New Orleans, on the 2Gth day of September, Mrs. Gko. F. Bbott, agei 30 years. The deceased was long enough a member of this community to be loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.The characteristics which most of all adorned her life, were those of a true, womanly character—devotion to her husband, love for her family, and warm affection for her friends. And we may add to these in all truth, that crowning virtue of her sex, that of modesty. The latter was prominent, (as it should be) inevery look , in every word, in every gesture! Mrs. Brott had learned in a high degree, wha. makes a true woman. Would that more in our degenerate day knew it as well as she. It was her gentleness that won the esteem of her friends, it was that beautiful ornament “of a meek and quiet spirit” that won mine.May God in Uis mercy comfort those who are so sorely afflicted and cast down, by this stroke of His Providence. o. s.OTATE OF M1NNRSOT * rfUT\'TV~np
