Ladies’ Aid Society.At a meeting of the ladies, held in the *J Assembly Chamber, on Monday afternoon, it was resolved to form a “Ladies’ Aid” Society, auxiliary to the United States Sanitary Commission. The following officers were elected, vie:Mrs. L. P. Harvey, President,** J. B. Britton, Secretary. w B. F. Hopkins, Treasurer.The Canvassing Committee, so far as appointed, are Mrs. H. 0. Manning, Mrs. Dr. Brown, Mies Madeline Reynolds, Miss Henrie H. Davis, Miss Libby Hastings, Mrs. E. E, Hale, Mrs. Vilas, Mrs. Kit-tredge, Mies Ileley, Mrs. Carr, Miss Brisbane, Miss Main, Mrs. Manning Tredway, Mrs. Moeely, Mrs. N. W. Dean, Mrs. Bliss, Mias Mary Genoett, Mrs. Dodd, Miss Me Mahon, Mrs. Hnehting, Mrs. George Mem-hard, Miss Harlacher, Mrs. Samuel Klau-ber.A meeting will be held in the Assembly Halloo Thursday, at8 o’clock, P. M. The Canvassing Committee is especially requested to be present. All our ladies are invited to become members of the “ Aid” and assist in this great and noble work.Susan B. Britton, Sec’y.
