With traffic reported heavier than normal over many roads during the weekend, nine persons were injured in five of seven accidents investigated by local authorities. None of the injuries were believed to be Serious, but a horse involved in one of the accidents had to be destroyed. Total property damage has been estimated at $11,200, with three of the cars involved listed as total losses. Other passengers in her car were Michele Navarra, 16, Ro R. 10, Greensburg, who received scratches on her forehead, Mike Kohrman, 17, R R. 2, Greensburg, who was treated for a bump on his forehead, and Brad Dahl, 15, 205 West Sheridan, who was believed to have sustained a fracture of the right foot Don Kilgore. 15, 404 North Lincoln, a passenger in the Schroeder auto, was treated for a bump on his shoulder Damage to the right front fender, windshield, front bumper and radiator of the Koors auto was set at $1,050. Damage to the road sign was set at $100. A blow-out of a front tire on the car driven by Mark E. Lacey, 22, 723 North Broadway, is listed as the cause of a one car accident Sunday at 3:30 am. that sent him to the hospital with multiple cuts and abrasions. Lacey told city police his 197: model compact was rounding a curve on Base Road near County Road 350E when the left front tire blew out, causing him to lose control of the westbound auto. The car flipped over and skidded 50 feet on its top before hitting a fence on the Carl Nieman property on the south side of the road, reports show. The car, valued at $2,000, was declared a total loss. Damage to the 100 feet of fence and posts was estimated at $300. The car of a R. R. 8, Green sburg, motorist was also listed as a total loss following a one vehicle accident just north of Greensburg Sunday at 4:55 a.m. Robert A. Oakley, 18, sustained cuts on his face and legs when his car failed to negotiate a slight curve leading from the Indiana 3 overpass onto the regular highway.
