The hostesses for the event were #1¢ members of the ‘bride’s mother’s canasta club. Mrs. Beulah Coonrod, Mrs. Allen Livingston, Mrs. L.E. Buchheister, Mrs Velda Taall er and Mrs. Harry Peake. Peg gy Jo Kennedy, daughter of Mrs. Mabel Kennedy of Mah aska, and the late Joe Kennedy Robert Carlson son of Mrs. Fra nces Carlson of Junction City, ‘were married at Junction City Kansas on August 29, 1963. They will make ‘their home in Salina where she is employed at St. John’s hospital and he has construction work. The tile matches the color of the new fixtures, which had been installed by the govern ment about 3 years ago. The old floor of inlaid linoleum had been laid when the building served as the bank and no doubt had been in use about 27 years. Sports fans did enjoy the tap ed broadcast of the homecom ing game, Frinight in which Greenleaf won from the Mah aska Cardinal” 27 WS 6, but of course would have enjoyed it more had the Cardinals won. The game was given over the Fairbury radio station, and was sponsored by several of the local merchants. Mrs. Peggy Jo Kennedy Carl son of Salina was honored with a miscellaneous shower, Satur day evening, October 13, 1963 Church. The color scheme for the evening was carried out no brides colors of blue and white. After a social hour, the bridie opened her many lovely gifts, assisted by Misses Stella Mason and Margie Lowe. Mrs. Y Warold Kennedy of Manhattan wrote of each gift and the givers names. Miss Sue Kennedy Mrs. Leslie Lowe was a pat igs in the Lytie hospital over the weekend for a severe case of intestinal flu. Mrs. Don Deegan of Corval lis, Ore., was a Tuesday over night guests of Mrs. May Lowe and her guest, Mrs. Minnie ‘Maria of Munden, Mrs. Adoph Waltman drove to Lincoln Monday to be an overnight guest in the home of her son JK. Lowe and family while their son, Daniel, 4, had a tonsillectomy. She returned on Tuesday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Sorell and daughter Joyce attended the funeral of an aunt Mrs. Vic Sorell in Clifton Tuesday morn ing. Joe Barton and Jack Tuma returned Saturay from a ten day fishing tip to Park Rapids, Minn. Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Sorell and daughter, Joyce visited at the home of his parents Mr. and Mrs. Fremond Sorell, ‘with a brother Dean Borell of Colo rado Springs, Colorado who is visiting his parents.
