(Special to The Sunday News-Globe) CANADIAN, Oct. 27.A jury in the 71st district court here today awarded Cecil Rook of Wheeler county $20,000 in his damage suit against Mrs. Maude Koons et al. This case, which has been in liti gation since 1925, grew out of charges that P. Koons, husband of the principal defendant, shot into an automobile load of young people who were driving by his home in Wheeler county, injuring Rook. Attorneys for Rook were E. J. Pickens and J. W. Sanders of Ca nadian and E. T. Scott of Wheeler, and for Mrs. Koons, R. H. Cooke of Wellington, Hill Engledow of Shamrock, and Marion Reynolds of Wheeler.
