VJBXUU jici matcro, iiira. xvuLUtsruieWynn and Mrs. Hattie Fisk.OVER 600 ATTEND THEFARM BUREAU RALLIESSacrifice for children and service to neighbors” was the keynote of the addresses given by Dr. Erl Bates of Cornell University at the Madison County JVmmn'mml Home Bureau rallies this past week; Meetings were held at Nelson, Bridgeport, Canastota, Brookfield, Hamilton and DeRuyter with a total attendance of over 600.Dr. Bates, is considered to be the best recognized authority in the copn-try on Indians and early local history and conducts agricultural extension work on the six Indian reservations in New York State. In his talks Dr. Bates mentioned the cooperation that existed between the tribes of the Six Great Nations. He said that a League of Nations existed here as early as 1550 and that there was women suffrage in 1600 throughout Madison County among the Indians.W. L. Norman, Farm Bureau manager, told about the plans for raising the Farm Bureau membership to over 1,000. He showed that agriculture was on the up grade and quoted the better prices being paid for most farm products.
