Mrs. Sarah Olson Heggen, born atSandeia, Norway, May 15, 1826, diedat the home of her son-in-law, E. H.Sheldahl, at Huxley, Iowa, Oct. 22.She was married to lngbret OlsonHeggen in the spring of 1849 and thesame year they left Norway for America. settled down at Lisbon, 111., where they lived for six years, and in thespring of 1855, they being numberedthirty families whom imigrated from Illinois to Iowa and settled at Story county, Iowa. They wereamong the first Norwegian familiessettle in this part of the countryTen children were born to theirunion of which six are dead, four ofwhich died in infancy. One daughter,Mrs Sarah Blikra, died 35 years ago.being the first corps buried in thePalestine cemetery. Brit Olson, who3led a few weeks ago, was her son.The four who survive her are O. BOlson and Mrs. E. H. Sheldahl of Huxev, Mrs, F. Seversike of Cambridgeind Wm Olson of Turlock, Col. Hernisband died thirty-three years agoThe immediate cause of her deathsas a stroke of naralvsis.
