Both families were poor lt;$ lt;$ and neither house was robbed. * lt;$lt;$ William Dawson, his wife and lt;$^ daughter, were brutally murdered in lt;$ lt;$ their homes at Monmouth, 111., Sun- lt;$lt;§ day, Oct. 1.
