Mrs. Major Johnson, who came up from Columbus, Hemp-stead county, to attend thewedding of her neice, Miss Lucy Elizabeth Davis, is th* truest lt;f her sister, Mrs. Edward Freysoh-lag, north | of town. Mrs. Johnson has a large connection in this county, and her mother, Mrs. Hawkins, once lived in the old Hodge house, corner of School and Center. It has been twenty years since she visited this city, and there are now only tw'o houses in town that were standing when she was a girl here before the war.
