Student of the weekSeventeen-year-old Deanna Green, a Senior student of Collinsville Independent School District, is this week’s “Student of the Week.” The daughter of Johnny and Linda Green of Collinsville, Deanna is a two-year member of cheerleading and is currently serving as head cheerleader. During her Freshman year, she was a member of the Drill Team and served as co-captain during her sophomore year. Miss Green was second runner-up this year for “Football Sweetheart.” She is a three-year member of Future Farmers of America, Deanna is FFA secretary this year. She is raising a steer and received the FFA “Star Green Hand” award last year, and served as the FFA reporter. She is also a two-year member of Future Homemakers of America and received the Homemaking Award last year for overall achievement. She is a two-year member of the One-Act Play (OAP) and played guard on the basketball team for three years. Miss Green has been on the “B” Honor RollDEANNA GREENand currently maintains about a “B” average. She plans to attend Grayson County College but says she is undecided on a major.
