Churches Unite Sunday Services To Conduct ForumIWorld Problems Discussed From Religious ViewThe Upper Alton Baptist Church and the College Avenue Presbyterian Church have united in their Sunday evening service and are conducting a forum. They will continue these meetings throughout the early part of the winter. The purpose of this forum is to bring prominent men from out-of-town to show the relation of religion to the world problems of today. The public^is invited and a special invitation is issued to the students. The service begins at 7:30 o’clock and the talk is about thirty minutes long. Then cards are passed out. Questions are written on them and are handed to the, speaker. They are answered as quickly as possible so that the service will be over around nine o’clock. The attendance has been very good so far and the churches hope that this attendance holds up throughout this winter. The Rev. Sidney E. Sweet, of the Pilgrim Episcopal Church in St. Louis, was the first man to talk. His subject was on “The Situation in China and Japan.” At the second gathering Rev. G. W. Tolly, of the Second Baptist Church in St. Louis, talked on “The Church Meeting Human Need.” On Sunday, October 16, Rabbi Isserman, of Temple Israel, St. Louis, spoke on “The European Situation Today.” The last meeting uf the forum was led by Dean A.
