Maroon And Gold To Play Saturday At Eureka, IllinoisShurtleflf Team Captured EurekaGame Last YearShurtlefPs gridders will journey far afiield to play the Eureka College eleven of Eureka, Illinois, this Saturday. This will be the longest road trip the lads will make this year; Eureka is located about twenty-five miles east of Peoria.Unless Eureka has improved since last year, the wearers of the Maroon and Gold should have little trouble in returning home with a victory to their credit. Last year a fighting Shurtleff team downed Eureka 12-0.According to past performances this season, Eureka is none too strong, having bowed before the onslaughts of Moherly and McKendree, two of Shurtleff’s next opponents.Coach Money’s troupe will battle the Moberly team a week from tomorrow at Moberly. This game will be followed the next Saturday, November 12, with the McKendree game which also will be played away from home. Three straight games playcJ from the home gridiron is a tough schedule for any team to wade through. No matter how good a team is, the absence of cheering supporters makes a difference. Only a fighting, unified team can win under such cir-cumstances.
