He said, however, 1 that he found some very rich uranium ore, and evidences of i vanadium in the vicinity of Green i River. Whether it exists there 1 in paying commercial quantities is a question yet to be solved, as , so far very little development work has been done. I“These fields are attracting a good deal of interest, as right j now there seems to be an unsatisfied demand particularly for uranium,” says Thomas. “This ore makes in the bedding deposits in the sand stone; sometimes near the lime. Just why this de- | mand for uranium and what Is lt;to be done with the metal 1% am ' at loss to say. The vanadium is 1 now being extensively used In lt;the steel business, removing the * oxygen and greatly strengthening the metal.” j
