Blaekhawk News.Greeting from the town of Biack-hawk.Although it has been raining allday(Tuesday) it did not deter the good citizens of Pierson township from Hocking to the polls to vote on the gravel road question. The condition of the weather and roads certainly ought to be an inducement for all to vote in favor of the improvement. Speaking of roads, there is so much said about the need of good roads and we agree that most everybody wants good roads and are willing to help pay for them, but why are the road supervisors allowed to work the roads in the fall? If they are worked in the spring they are settled and solid by fail and ready fo r the rains, freezings and thawings that keep them soft and so easily cut up. If they are worked in the fall they are soft, cut full of ruts and ditches and are almost impassable before the real bad weather sets in and then they are utterly impassable.
