DESTRUCTIVE FIRES.Mr. Leyton Harkness' dwelling and all its contents was burned on Saturday afternoon about 2 o’clock. Mr. Harkness and wite had just left their home and driven a few hundred yards when their attention was called to the smoke issuing trom the roof of their dwelling. They rushed back as quickly as possible but nothing could be saved. It was with the heroic effort of a number of neighbors who had gathered at the burning building that his corn crib and other buildings were saved. Everything inthe house went up in smoke and the unfortunate young couple stood with nothing left but the clothing they were wearing. They indeed have the sympathy of our entirepeople.
