Charged with being drunk, Tom Monnikan, of Gary, was arrested last night while on duty as watchman for the Pennsylvania railroad at the McKinley street crossing in Indiana Harbor. The arrest was made by Officer Sheridan. The railroad com pany was notified and a police offi cer stationed at the crossing until another watchman could be sent there, Monahan is in fail await ing trial in city court. Three Hqnorian violators were arrested last night by a squad of raiders composed of Zarkovich, Buzinski, Manaugh and Ramey. anton Boroway, 3928 Alder street: Frank Lozich, 3604 Main street, and Eli Solaja, 8425 Pennsylvania ave nue. Were the men taken. All were arrested at their places of business where, it is claimed, Mqnor was be ing dispensed. Nowlean Williams was arrested on a charge of assault with Intent to kill, as the result of a fight last might in which he wielded a knife. Williams resides at 3808 Block ave nue and was arrested at 3737 Block avenue. Jessie More, colored, 2981 Block avenue, Was arrested on a charge of grand larceny, by Officers Simla and Sheridan. He was taken at 4135th street and Parrish avenue. It is claimed that he stole clothes from # Ine on which a wash was hung out. He recently was in jail on a similar charge, according to police. Edward Colprice, colored, of Buf falo, N. Y. Was arrested by Officer Crawford at 3332 Michigan avenue, today, charged with malicious tres pass. «According to the story told police, Colprice left his satchel in the jewelry stores at 3332 Michigan avenue last night and returned to get it this morning. He is said to have leaned over the counter to get the bag,and broke a glass show case. The proprietor of the place called the police.
