Another Birthday Party.Wednesday of last week was the 18th birthday of Miss Annie Crossland, daughter of Capt. A. D. Crossland. Miss Annie had been ill for some time, and on that evening listened to the persuasive voices of some of her young lady friends, and accompanied them to prayer meeting at the M. E. Church. Returning home after the meeting, she found the house in possession of a noisy, happy crowd of young people, who were clebrating her birthday in a style of jollity she had perhaps never dreamed of. These young friends presented her with many tokens of their esteem, in the way of beautiful presents.Mrs. Crossland had entered into league with the young folks, and prepared an excellent supper.The young people enjoyed themselves hugely, as they should, in giving a party to one of Jackson’s best young ladies.
