Van Frank Overman, 43, 500 N. Market St., Monon, died Friday, Oct. 18, 1991, the victim of an airplane crash in Lafayette. . Born in Henry County Sept. 30, 1948, he was the son of Jack Price and Marjorie L. (Sullivan) Overman. His father survives. A native of Carthage, he had lived in Monon for the past two months. He was an industrial manager with Monon Manufacturing. He was a member of Our Savior United Methodist Church in Indianapolis. He was a 1966 graduate of Carthage High School and had attended Case Institute of Technology and Purdue University in Lafayette. He was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity, Institute of Industrial Engineers, and the society of Manufacturing En gineers. He was an avid Amateur Radio Operator and was a member of the American Radio Relay League Inc. Survivors besides his father include two brothers: J. Kir by Overman, Blufton, and James L. Overman, Union City, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews. Clara Kanouse, 86 Clara M. Kanouse, 86, of 1702 N. Ritter Ave., Indianapo lis, died at 3:20 a.m. Friday, Oct. 18, 1991 in Community East Hospital in Indianapolis. Born in Rush County April 1, 1905, she was the daughter of Sandy and Marguerite Lewis. Her husband, John Maxwell Kanouse, preceded her in death in Dec. 1968. She had been the chief clerk at Indiana Blue Cross and Blue Shield until her retirement in 1970. A graduate of Clark surg High School, she was a member of the Clarksburg Methodist Church and the Ritter Avenue Free Methodist Church in Indianapolis. Survivors include one son: John L. Kanouse, Indianapo lis; four sisters: Marie McKowen, Anderson, Mary Lewis, Clarksburg, Hilda Higgins and Ethel Swango, both of Rushville. One grandson also survives. George Moore, 68 George E. (Gene) Moore, 68, 4324 S. Franklin Road, Indi anapolis, died at 8:16 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, 1991 in St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis. Born Jan. 23, 1923, in Rush County, he was the son of George E. and Pauleen (Smith) Moore. He married A. Evelyn Kitty VanCamp March 13, 1948. She survives. He former ly owned and operated Moore's Energy Saving Products on Post Road in Indianapolis. He currently had been in sales with Indiana Wood Floors in Indianapolis. He was a mem ber of the Clarksburg Christian Church. He was a 1940 graduate of Clarksburg High School and the University of Cincinntti Architectual School for four and a half years. He was a veteran of World War II and a past Commander of the Wanamaker VFW post. He had lived in the Wanamaker area the past 14 years. Surviving besides his wife is his mother: Pauleen Moore, Greensburg; two sons: John Wayne, LaPlace, La., Peter Jer ry, Indianapolis; two brothers: Arnold Moore, Wakefield, Va., John R. Moore, Batesville; one sister: Mrs. Cleo (Sally) Harford, Clarksburg; and three grandchildren. He was pre ceded in death by his father.
