(Journal Courier photo by GREG OLSON) SAMSON, billed as “the meanest, biggest and toughest truck in America,” will be on display all day today at Ray Green Chevrolet, 1700 West Morton Ave. At 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. the truck will crush old cars at the dealership. The super-modified monster on wheels is equipped with a 454 cubic inch engine, which turns out 1,250 horsepower. In height, it measures 14 feet from the ground to the cab top and has six-foot tires. The truck is owned by Don Maples of Huntsville, Ala., and is used by the Chevrolet Motor Division as a promotional tool.
