Here are the council briefs for Grimshaw Town council's regular meetings Oct. 12 and 19. COUNCIL RENTED on behalf of the Grimshaw Craft Club, the library. The club which is newly formed is headed by Mrs. L. Martin, and secretary is Mrs. L. Dolivnet. COUNCIL ACCEPTED a request from the Fire Department to install two additional fire phones in the town. This brings the number up to eight. All the phones are connected with a fire alarm system, which in turn triggers the siren. The extra phones will cost $150 a year COUNCIL IS in the process of amending their present by law that deals with dogs on the loose. It is generally being tightened up for the benefit of those affected. COUNCIL HEARD that Councillor Stew Arnold is to represent the town at the Alberta Urban Municipalities Association's annual meeting in Lethbridge this week. COUNCIL RECEIVED at their Oct. 19 meeting a five year development plan on recreation from their Recreation, Director, Council will now consider its im plications and either accept it or ask for modifications. The report does put an emphasis on winter games. COUNCIL DECIDED to let people skate free of charge on the ice at the arena, until the end of this month.
