Smith, co-chairmen of the Golden Anniversary Dinner Planning committee, nationally known personalities from the worlds of television, medicine and journalism will be on hand to help the Chicago Heart Assn. celebrate its SO years of progress“Our aim, in all our plans, has been to provide a fun-filled and memorable evening for everyone atten-ding the Golden Anniversary Dinner celebration and Annual Meeting—and we think we've succeeded, Dr. Smith said.Ralph Edwards, master of ceremonies of the nationally televised This Is Your Lifemodel-hostesses will be celebration.wearing a costume signifyingi different period over the past SO years. We think it will be great fun when recalling the *90 Years of Progress’ of the Heart Assn. to see 'SO Years of Fashion’ progress as well, Dr. Smith said.The reception will also mark the first public showingof the winning entries from a Chicago Heart Assn. - sponsored competition among the students at the Art Institute of Chicago.The competition, which opened May 18, gave students the opportunity to submit their fine arts interpretations of Chicago Heart Assn. and its contributions to the community it serves over the past SO years. The contest raised $1.5 million dollars which was contributed to the Heart Assn. Edwards made the presentation in Chicago in 194B at a joint meeting of the Chicago and American Heart associations. His interest in and support of Heart has been consistent ever since then.Russ Stewart, vice president, Field Enterprises, will act as master ofA special multi-media cultural program entitled The History of Rock Music will be presented to the students of Prosser Vocational High school, 2148 N. Long, Monday, Oct. SO.A. G.
