Lovely Wedding Gowns Highlight Friday's TeaLovely wedding gowns, dating back to 1678, were displayed or modeled at the Wedding Gown Tea, sponsored by the Arlington Garden Club, held Friday in the beautifully decorated home of Mrs, B, D, Hinshaw, 102 Virginia Lane, Mrs, H, M, Nichols, wearing a velvet gown she wore in a Thanksgiving Day, 1937, wedding of a relative, served as narrator.Music was furnished by soloists Mines, Grover Pierce, Trauman Bryce, Walter F^h-Jr, and W, F, Beeman,Those playing accompaniment and providing background music were Mmes, W, J, Buchanan, Ruel Hudspeth, Marcia Rober, William Meacham and R, L, Oram,Two gowns were displayed, the oldest one was of ashes of roses brocade, made in 18?8, belonging to Mrs, George R, Greathouse, Another gown, 52 years old, w-as an Alice Blue radium sills, belonging to Mrs, M, H, Cravens,Those who modeled Include Miss Holly Harris, 'Miss Arlington,’ wearing an 1899 gownof Mrs, Sam Rucker; Miss Sonja Hinshaw, wearing her sister-in-law 's gown, made in 1949; Miss Mary Hollingsworth of Corsicanna, wearing the wedding gown of Mrs, 0,0, Hollingsworth, made in 19 S?» Miss Sliirley Cass, wearing the wedding gown of Mrs,Tom Lee made in 1910,Miss Phyliss Colyer wore a wedding gown, made in 1909, belonging to Mrs, Robinett, who is now 85 years old, Mrs, Martha Roark wore a 1919 gown belonging to Mrs,George Thompson, Sr, and Miss Betty Joe Williams also wnre a 1919 gown, belonging to Mrs, Nannie Clark,Madeline McCoy modeled a gown belonging to her aunt, Mrs, James R.
