After reserving a supply for his family, he has sold TUJQ pouuds of potatoes, 4000 pouuds of cabbage, 2000 pounds of pop-corn and several thousaud pounds of other garden truck. He has put up barrels of pickles, saurkraut, chow-chow, etc. His poultry yard, Belgian har^s, bees, berries, etc., have shod andclothed his family. He has a wife and seven children, the oldest oue a girl of 13. They have done all their own work except about 120 paid in wages for picking and packiug fruit, made their own living off and paid for their ranch, now worth three times the amouut paid for it.
