Two one-car accidents occurr ed near Flora on Thursday of last week. Jo A. Washington of Rt. 2, Cutler, apparently lost control of her car at 6:30 a.m. on a rain slick highway causing it to go down the embankment and come to rest in the creek bed. She suffered lacerations on her right shoulder. A passenger, Bertha McWharten, suffered a severe whiplash. Both were taken to the hospital for observation. The car was estimated,as a total loss, Lee Hoard of the Sher iff's Department and Harry Humphrey and Merle Johnson of the Flora Police Department in vestigated. The accident occurred just east of the Flora City limits. In a similar accident just north of Flora at 4:25 p.m. the same day, a vehicle driven by Cathy C. Cromer damaged fencing and on the Byron Jervis proper ly went out
