The weatherman has been smiling this last week, and we hope he lingers around in the same mood for some time yet. Our neighbor Herman Klen ner took a holiday trip to B. C. spending some time in the vi cinity of Vancouver where he visited friends and looked the country over. He says it is a fine place to live, but a person should have some money to settle down there. William Wanke has just pur chased a brand new Studebaker truck. Here's hoping you have good luck with it, and get lots of cattle to haul to the Stock Yards. Another progressive farmer of the community has received a brand new John Deere trac tor. All evidence that our com munity is going ahead in spite of poor roads, slow progress in roadbuilding, wind and wea ther. e - The Mass T. B. X-Ray Survey went over smoothly on Oct. 17. A lot of people were in from surrounding districts. Mr. Bierworth of the Sunday School Mission held services in the log church, aided by our lo cal minister Pastor Giesbrecht and wife. Paul Lachnit has just finish ed building a new garage and blacksmith shop. A fine, dandy place he will have to work in in winter. Woodridge now has four stores and four oil stations. Mr. Wally is planning on staying in Winnipeg during the cold wintery months. We wish him a good time among friends and relatives there. Knut Aarhus.
