‘Wife. and Babe Hear Bod den Sentenced Louis Bodden today received 10 years in prison for his first of fense*against the law. The 23-year-old father pleaded guilty before Presiding Judge Claude A. Grayson in circuit court to a charge of robbery and re ceived the sentence. He previous ly had pleaded not guilty. Compromise Reached Bodden’s sentence came about through a compromise between ‘his attorney, Mrs. Doris Van Aller, and the prosecutor, Bart B. Cham berlain. Mrs. Van Aller told the court the prisoner had a wife and baby and this was his’ first “of fense the law. Mrs. Iden, with her baby, was in the courtroom. She appeared visibly affected by the sentence. Bodden indicted for the Whistler. He was of ,robbing the store of $156 with Lafayette Bush and Harvey George. The latter two also were indicted in the case. Through compromises reached in capital cases recently, Mobile county has been saved$3500 that ordinarily would have been spent in trials.
