The Lawn Bowling Club held a most successful whist drive and dance on Wednesday evening in the 1. 0. 0. ®. hall. Thirty-six tables were re quired for the game. Before pre senting the prises, Mayor Ferguson remarked on the success the club had during the past season, and hoped that they would have even a larger and more enthusiastic membership next season. Those securing the prises for the whist ganre were: Ladies, Mrs. Barnard, Mrs. Robert Smith, Mrs. R. M. Magnussen, and Miss Lena Walterson. Gents, F Wakefield, P. Pochecko, BR. Pearson and Wm. McGuire. Mr. Martin and Mr. Coppen, President and Secretary of the Manitoba Lawn Bowling As sociation addressed the gathering, after which Mr. Martin presented the McLimont and Johnson trophies. Mrs. J. F. Walker who with her tink com posed of Mrs. F. Wainer, Mrs. A. Bedard, Mrs. B. Reid, Mrs. J. F. Walker, skip, were the winners of the Johnson trophy and the individual prizes were silver candle sticks. The McLimont trophy was then presented to Mayor Ferguson and his rink made up as follows: Mrs. P. H. Sutherland, Mrs. Alex. Mitchell, Mrs. Walter Col clough, J. W. Morrison, A. D. Fer guson, skip, and the individual prizes donated by bK. Anderson, President of the Winnipeg Electric Railway Co., were silver cake baskets. Dancing was then enjoyed for a couple of hours. The music was provided by Miss Jean Ferguson, piano, and Mrs. M. Bennett, violin.
