DEATH OF MRS? BLACKBURNMother of Mrs, S. T. Corn Expires Early This Morning.Margaret Blackburn, the venerable mother of the wife of Hon. Samuel T. Corn, died at the home on Ferguson street early this morning. Mrs Blackburn has been in feeble health for some time, 'and the immediate cause of her death was neuralgia of the stomach and heart failure. She was a woman of remarkable intellectual and physical vigor, and the 80 years of her active life have been a record of constant devotion to her family and friends. She has been a faithful member of the Presbyterian church for many years. Her maiden name was Margaret Hoxey, and her early life was spent in Madison county, Illinois .where she was born on the 1st day of October, 1819. In 1838 she married Anderson M. Back burn, a banker, and son of Gideon Blackburn, the celebrated Presbyterian divine and founder of Blackburn University at Carlinville, 111. Mrs. Blackburn was ithe mother of seven children, who grew to maturity, three of whom survive her at the present time—Dr. Gideon Blackburn of Butte, Mont.; Mrs. Emma Corn of Cheyenne, and Miss Flora Blackburn of Salt Lake.
