Demo-Populist Nominee for Judge Should Answer, Boise, Idaho, Oct. 19.—Close upon the act of Ralph P. Quarles, demo-populist can didate for supreme judge, in violating all precedents by going upon the stamp, comes information that charges are pend ing against him before the bar associa tion in the Fifth judicial district for un professional conduct. It is said that these charges are based upon Mr. Quarles’ con nection with the escape of a client of his from the Bannock county pail. B.S. Die trich of Blackfoot is chairman of the committee appointed to investigate, and it is said their report is adverse to Mr. Quarles. Pending action of the commit tee, Mr. Quarles was nominated for the supreme bench and the report has been suppressed. The people of the state are now demanding that these charges be made public, and Mr. Quarles given op portunity to prove his innocence or stand convicted of unprofessional conduct.
