—The I)t*s Moines Valley Railroad was sold at Sheriffs Bale, at Dos Moines, on Saturday last. The portion from Kco-ikuk to IX*s Moines was bid oft’ by J. IT. , Johnson for $1,175,000, and that portion between Des Moines and Fort Dodge was sold to Col. C. II. Perry, of Keokuk, for $475,000. The rolling stock was divided between each portion on the basis of the4proportionate number of miles in each.It Is rumored that the purchase was made In the interest of the Chicago, Burlington Quincy It. It.
