ALBERT EDWARD FAWCETT Suddenly on October 20, 1978 at the Misericordia Hospital, Albert Edward Fawcett aged 83 years, beloved husband of Frances Mary Fawcett of 1030 Grant Avenue. Born in Blackpool Lanca shire, England he came to Canada with his parents in 1908. He served overseas with thhe 8th Battalion from 1914 to 1919, being awarded the Mili tary Medal. Following his re turn from overseas, he worked for the C.N.R. as carman from 1919 until his retirement in 1960. He was a member of the Fort Rouge Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion +87 for over fifty years, and a member of the Legion 65 Rhub. He leaves to mourn his lov ing wife Frances Mary; son Albert I. J. and daughter-in law Teresa, of Pointe St. Claire, Quebec; son Leslie 8. Mrs. Helgason helped establish a chapter of the Women's Institute at Brunhild, assisted with handi craft courses from the Mani toba Extension Service and kept the travelling library in her home for many years.
