Bare fact:Linda comes apart at the seamsLINDA CUTHBERTfrom dispatchesMEXICO CITY — Canadian diver Linda Cuth-bert got national television exposure in Mexico during the Pan-Am (lames platform diving competition here Wednesday, and she’s hoping that all the Mexicans saw her red face.During one of her optional dives, she broke a strap as she hit the water and the swimsuit slipped down to her waist as she knifed below the surface.An underwater camera beamed the scene on Mexican national television.“I really wanted to do well,” Miss Cuthbert said. “I thought I was diving well right up to that point and things seemed to kind of come apart.”Not the least of things coming apart was her swimsuit.Miss Cuthbert, of Beaconsfield, Qiie., wound up with a bronze medal, despite the difficulties.
