‘Defect In Steering Wheel Re sults In Accident on Road. While taking a truck load of bot ‘fled goods to Shelby this morning, “on the big truck of the Mansfield Bottling works, something went wrong with the steering apparatus of the auto truck. The truck was go ing at a good rate of speed at the dime, and it plunged down a 12-foot embankment and turned over in the ditch Driver Espenshade jumped from this seat and managed to escape with only a few slight bruises. There were 90 cases of bottled ‘soft drinks on the truck, and over half of these were broken. The truck was badly damaged, the steering gear s being rendered useless, wheels brok en and the axle bent.
