MR. G. A. COLLINS TO MISS E. A. COLLEY, _A pretty wedding was celebrated in the Presbyte rian Church, Warracknabeal, on Wednesday, vérd September, between Mr. George Albert Collins, eld est son of Mr. and Mrs. Collins, of Beaufort, and Miss Elsie Adelaide Colley, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. . Colley, of “‘ Navarre, Warrackna beal. The church was artistically decorated by the friends of the bride. The initials of the bride and bridegroom were conspicuous over an arch in front of the pulpit. The Rev. W. Naismith performed the ceremony. As the bride entered the church with her father, who gave her away, the choir sang ‘ The Voice that Breathed O'er Eden.” The bride was gowned in a lovely robe of white duchesse satin, trimmed with real Brussels lace, chiffon and seed pearl embroidery. A jong train was also worn. The veil was arranged in cap fashion over a wreath of orange blossoms. The bride was attended by her sister, Aliss Ethel Colley, and the bridegroom’s sis ter, Miss Rene Collins. They were frocked alike in white ¢repe de chene. e accordeon pleated skirts were draped with mmon, embroidered in Bul gar tones, and trimmed with Honiton lace. The bridegroom's present to the bride was a set of squirrel furs; to the bridesmaids, cameo bracelets. The bride's gift to the bridegroom was a travelling rug. Mr. R. Welsh was best man, and Mr. A. Stanistreet groomsman. The bride's mother wore a handsome dress of black crepe de chene, with touches of white; a bunch of violets was carried. Mrs. A. Taylor (sister of bride) wore lime-coloured crepe de chene, trimmed with fine net and lace, and relieved with touches of pink. The wedding break fast was held in the Masonic Hall, and later the bride and bridegroom left by motor for Murton, Mel bourne and Hewesville. Many handsome presents were received, including several cheques. MR. A. L. MADGE TO MISS M. M. BOYD. A very pretty wedding was celebrated at St. An drew's Presbyterian Church, Wagga, New South Wales, on the 7th of October, between Miss Mar garet May Boyd, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Boyd, “Ivanhoe,” Wagga, and Mr. Arnold Leghe Mudge, fourth son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Mudge, of “Hamley Howse, Dimboola, Victoria. The Rev. A. Warrens officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming a dress of white marquisette over silk, trimmed with Brussels lace and orange blossom; she carried a bouquet of white azaless and asparagus fern, and wore a gold cable bangle, the giles of the bride groom. The bridesmaid, Miss Vera Hoyd (sister of the bride), wore a white shower of hair mushin and white tulle hat, relieved with pink, wheat and black velvet streamers; a bouquet of pink carnations was carried. She also wore a pearl and ruby spray breech, the gift of the bridegroom. Ar, David Boyd acted as best man. The service was dully choral, the hymn, “The Voice That Breathed Uer Eden, being rendered by the choir as the bridal party en tered the church, which was packed with interested spectators. The wedding breakfast was served in the Masonic Hall. Among the numerous presents were a large number of cheques. The management and employees of Messrs. Hayid Copland and Co, pre sented a silver flower epergne and a set of silver serviette rings, and St. Andrew's choir and Tennis Club gave a pair of silver entree dishes. The bride and bridegroom left for Melbourne. Mr. and Mrs. Mtudge will live at Wagin, Western Australia. The executive council of the Library Association of Victoria is interesting itself in the encourage at Children’s Libraries, and a conference of salives from metropolitan and other libra ries been convened to discuss same on Wednes day, 20th October, at 8 p.m. in the old committee room, Melbourne Town Hall. It is expected that the speakers will side Mesdames D. Avery, A. Preston, Miss Madeline Murray, and Dr. J. W. Bar rett, and Messrs. M. M. Phillips and A. E. MecMic ken. The president, Mr. Donald Mackinnon, M.L.A., will preside, and all interested in the library move ment are invited. Mr. G.
