One of the functions of the Libary Assec tion of Victoria is the encouraget of “child ren’s libraries.” A conference of representa tives from metropolitan and other pirates has been convened to discuss their introduction into Victoria. It will be held in the or committee room, Melbourne Town Hall, on Wednesday, October 29, at 8 pm. It is ex pected that the speakers will includes James D. Avery, A. Preston, Miss Madeline Murray, Dr. J. W. Barrett, Messia. M. M.i//Hoe and 4. E. McMicken. The president, Mr.Donald Me Kinnon, M.L.A., will preside, and 21 interested in the library movement are invited.
