Goo’b, 'Linder's, Russell's, Fugle; sen’s, Eleven's and many others, to ail of which I hereby exteud my heartfelt thanks.“L. E. Haouk.”THE LAST BUFFALO HUNT.James Philip has decided upon giving a buffalo hunt. There are still at large eight or ten head of the Dupree herd which Mr. Philip bought. These are on the open range. Several attempts have been made to secure them and get them down to his pasture which he has especially prepared for his herd.He has concluded that he will takethem dead or alive rather than take the chaubes of them straying away and finally lost during the coming winter. Last winter he lost one of the finest specimens he had. The part at which Mr, Philip looked at seroiously was the securing of a party worthy of the chase. In a talk with him the other day he said that his roundup outfit would be down here the latter part of October and that he would use his cooking and com pi ng outfit and he would have saddle horses en* ugh to mount any reasonable party; he also stated that Narcisse Narcelle had a similar outfit and they could handle a train load of hunters. “Scotty” said if he thought it would bring out all the good .shots and lovers of a hunt for big gam* in the country that lie would make the necessary arrangements. He said that several prominent men had expressed a desire to join him and if a good party of live men would signify their wil.ingrss to attend that he would see that t’ ay had a roval good time. It will be the last hunt of bison that will take place ou the continent for there is no other herd worthy the name.— Ex.
