TAt the Republican rally in Des Moines Gov. Larrabee made a strong speech brim full of facts and sound reasoning which characterize all of the Governor's utterances. The speech ought to be in the hand of every voter. In regard to Stormy Jordon he said:''A few days after the election of Mr. Boies, the notorious “Stormy Jordan, of O.ttumwa, waited upon me in regard to a pardon, He told me that now' Mr, Boies was elected, liquor selling was to be permitted and he might as well do it as any one else. He was then in business in Kansas City, and I said to him, “Why do you wish to come bach to Iowa to sell illegally? You are now located at a place where you have a right to do it under the law. He replied he wanted to come back because he thought Iowa 'was the best
